Today I am giving thanks for another day of loving. There is so much to be thankful for it’s almost overwhelming.
I wanted to share a few excerpts from my Gratitude prayers book by June Cotner. I found this little blue book on sale at Barnes and Noble. The book includes prayers, poems, and prose for everyday thankfulness. It’s just another resource to help me frame my thinking as I reflect on life.
Let’s be real, managing a household of six, working and all of the stuff that comes with that can be exhausting. Many of us do it, and it is second nature to us because that’s just how it is right now.
We all want to live our best lives and there will be peaks and valleys. Through it all, I try to think about all of the positives and the blessings in my life. Don’t get me wrong, there are days when I want to complain, and have a pity party because I’m running from here to there until the evening hours with little time for myself.
Focusing on others, and the value in the day-to-day experiences makes me feel good inside. When I direct those feelings outward into the universe good feelings and good things usually happen.
So this is what I’m meditating on today as I begin my day…..
The gift of encouragement
Should be given each day–
Pass it out freely
And in gentle ways.
There’s no need for ribbons
To make it look grand–
Just the simple encouragement
Of a kind, helping hand.
Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude. –Denis Waitley
The more we thank, the more we see to be thankful for. Gratitude is the lens that reveals God’s incredible grace at work. It is the key to tangible, everyday joy. — Ellen Vaughn
Enjoy your day!
Peace and Blessings,
