As I was reflecting on gratitude, the word love kept coming to mind. When I think about the word love, I realize it can be complex and powerful in so many ways. Yet, with God it’s very simple. We don’t have to earn it or wait for it to grow.
I sat down to enjoy some quiet time and opened the pages to two different devotional books and the focus was …..love. Isn’t it funny how that happens? One was titled an “Unchanging Love”, and the other “Completely Loved”. The message was that even in the midst of illness, relocation, loss, unemployment and other challenging situations one thing never changes: God’s love for us. Even our failures won’t keep God’s love away. He loves us in spite of ourselves and that brings me comfort. That is grace.
I am grateful for God’s love and the love he has shown me. It makes me think of the words to a song….”Nobody told me that the road would be easy, but I don’t believe he brought me this far to leave me.”
Max Lucado says that, “you are valuable just because you exist. Not because of what you do or what you have done, but simply because you are. Just think about the way Jesus honors you ….and smile.”
What are you grateful for today?
Have a blessed day!
Peace and Blessings,
