A couple of weeks ago I was scouring the internet looking for blogs about moving and relocating, I came across Diane Laney Fitzpatrick’s website. I’ve always thought about writing a book about the relocation experience but Diane already has. She is the author of Home Sweet Homes: How Bundt Cakes, Bubble Wrap, and My Accent Helped Me Survive Nine Moves.
Surviving nine moves and still finding humour in the process is encouraging and definitely something to write about. Nine times- she wins !! As I sifted through her blog, the post on “Take This Job and Move It” got me to thinking and reflecting on my very first move. I’ve moved four times with my husband’s company since 2002. I could relate and emailed her to share my experience. She was very gracious and invited me to write a guest post for her blog.
I mentioned that I moved with a three-week old and she wanted to hear more about that experience. I’m guest posting over on Diane’s blog. This is my first guest post and I’m so excited. You can find my post, Baby + Move + Job = What Was I Thinking? at http://justhumourme.org. Go to blog, then It’s Your Move.
Diane’s book, Home Sweet Homes is free in e-book format this week, May 8-10. Be sure to get your copy. http://www.amazon.com
