Our life is an evolution. Things change from week to week, month to month and year to year. Change is not a bad thing especially when it helps us to be better in some way.
My evolution has become more real to me in my forties as I approach the half century mark. When you think of it like that, you really start to realize just how much life experience you have under your belt. I believe that I’m getting better with age.
Rather than worry about getting older, I’ve transitioned to being aware of how I’m living. There have been peaks and valleys, and I’m sure it’s not over yet. That’s part of the evolution.
We’ve all heard that life is short. Sometimes I feel like I’m racing against the clock trying to accomplish all of the things that are important to me. There is no time to waste. Why put things off? The motivation to make things happen is good but is that how we want to live, rushing and always feeling like time is getting away from us? No, not at all. There is still so much life to live and enjoy. Embrace it.
We have to live in the moment and enjoy our journey as much as we can. There will be trials along the way but we have to take it in stride, regroup and carry on.
It’s taken some of us a little longer to realize that we’ve got the power. The power to be different, and to create the life we want.
Each day do something that moves you toward one of your goals even if it’s just a small task. Write your goals down and put them on display. My goals are posted on the wall in my walk in closet.
One of my goals is to write a book. It’s been on my to do list for years. I’ve decided from this point forward to just do it and make it a priority.
My goals are to leave a positive legacy for my children, encourage others, be happy, be free and live in abundance. What are your goals?
The reward is in the journey, and the “knowing” that you have lived your life with intention and purpose, never losing sight of what’s important to you.
It’s a faith walk. Yes, it most certainly is.
Are you really living and going after what you want?
Peace and Blessings,
