I finally did it! I created a website for my consulting work. It’s been a long time coming and I finally just decided to go for it.
This is one of my many hats that I wear like so many working women out there. I’ve consulted under contract with a local school district for almost two years now. My goal was not to be a consultant but it all fell into place. I approached the school district about employment and we discussed my expertise and their needs. Their needs were recruitment and retention, and diversity and inclusion.
I became a business owner.
The consulting role works for me since I am the mother of three busy teens. I set my own hours and there is a lot of flexibility. In addition to that, it’s meaningful work that contributes to our students, staff, parents and community.
My website enables me to share my expertise locally and nationally. It’s still a work in progress but I decided to put it out there anyway. It was not my intention that it be public at this point. It is, so I decided to feel the fear and do it anyway. I read somewhere to not wait until everything is perfect – launch and learn.
I have big plans for MCJ Consulting and I’m looking forward to sharing them. My goal for my official launch is June, but in the meantime stop by to visit www.drmcjconsulting.com to take a look around.
Peace and Blessings,
