My family and I really enjoy traveling. We usually have a summer packed with travel. Now that I am blogging, I decided to capture our travel for the summer of 2013 before the year ends.
We started our travels at the end of May. We visited Philadelphia for two weeks. My husband’s family lives in Philly. We had a great time with family. I checked out this store. It was my first time. Good stuff!
After leaving Philly, we traveled to Boston for a wedding. We also enjoyed a night at Hampton Beach in New Hampshire. Watching and listening to the waves at night is very calming. The arcades were fun too.

Our next stop was Cambridge, Massachusetts. My teenage daughter wanted to tour historic Harvard University. She certainly has the intelligence to be considered for admission but it is crazy expensive. Time will tell.

We took a picture with the bronze statue of John Harvard, one of their most prominent benefactors but we did not touch his left foot. They say you should touch it for good luck. After hearing from our tour guide what student’s do to the statue at night we decided to pass.
Two weeks later we traveled to Chicago. This was my families first time visiting Chicago. I was there about four years ago. It was an eventful trip. We hit several tourist attractions including, the Planetarium, the Shedd Aquarium, the Skydeck Chicago, the Field Museum, and the Museum of Science and Industry. I can’t forget the Navy Pier and Garrett’s famous popcorn. I think I’m good on museums for a while.

Last Day in the Windy City. It was especially windy on this day.
These are just a few of our highlights from the summer. We definitely got lots of exercise. A good time was had by all. Quality time with family is so important. How do you and your family spend quality time? Do you enjoy traveling?
Peace and Blessings!
