We hear that word often as we all strive to find meaning and purpose in our lives.
I talk about gratitude a lot. But what does it really mean?
I think it’s safe to say it means different things to different people.
It is defined in the dictionary as the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
Gratitude encourages me to think about my experiences and how my life has evolved over time. Everything hasn’t been wonderful and beautiful but in order to survive and grow, I’ve been able to take away the life lessons.
Is it a feeling, or a state of being?
There are individuals who are creating worldwide movements (#GoBeKind) in the name of gratitude and kindness. Gratitude encourages people to pay it forward. It changes lives and that’s pretty awesome. It helps us to feel happier and who doesn’t want to be happy.
I believe it is a feeling and a state of being. It’s a spiritual connection. It’s hard to put into words. I don’t have a magical or profound description for you but here are my thoughts about gratitude.
Gratitude is more than being thankful. It’s being able to see the light even when the path is cloudy.
How do you define gratitude?
Have a Blessed Day!
